After a tweet from listener @saskislander suggesting "will you do a podcast on councils decision to put off any sort of food truck business for now?" I sat down with city councillor Lisa Helps and newly opened food truck owner/chef Karrie Hill from the Deadbeetz truck.
I know this is a hot & controversial topic in Victoria, and I was thankful I got to have some clarity myself about why things are taking so long and how the council sets its mandate and priorities.
As you will hear mid way through the episode: if this is something you care about then email councillors@victoria.ca and send a constructive, positive, encouraging email about how much you really would love to see a food cart pilot be on the agenda in the fall!
